Relais and Chateaux Golf Tournament at the Casa Velha do Palheiro

Casa Velha do Palheiro, Madeira, part of the Relais & Chateux collection of hotels, this year hosted the 4th Relais and Chateaux Golf Tournament on 24 October, a competition aimed at clients and business partners and supported by the companies Audi, Blandy’s, Vista Alegre, Fedex, Pommery, Nespresso, S. Pellegrino and the “Jornal de Negócios”.

The prize-giving ceremony was held in the enchanting setting of the hotel’s Palheiro gardens with approximately 100 guests present.

The winners of the tournament were Robert Jesus with 79 shots gross, José Pereira de Gouveia, Philippe Moreau and Nick Williams with 44, 42 and 40 points net respectively.

Fernanda Cuckney with 37 points net won the first place for the ladies, and Evgeniya Mironosetskaya, a visiting guest from Moscow, came in at second place with 34 points net.

Special prizes went to Énio Andrade for the longest drive – men, and to Fernanda Cuckney for the longest drive – ladies. Nearest the pin was won by Frederico Santa-Bárbara and Fernanda Cuckney respectively.
